Airport Transit Tips

Plaza Premium Lounge, Heathrow Terminal 5, Queue Hack

Plaza Premium Lounge

Like many pay-to-enter airport lounges nowadays, they are often overcrowded. More and more people have credit cards that offer lounge access as part of the perks.

This was an experience I had at Heathrow Terminal 5 recently. Although British Airways has very large lounges, the two pay to enter lounges are very small and often overcrowded.

Plaza Premium however has a queueing service at Terminal 5. They have a QR code displayed at the door where you can scan and join the virtual queue, however if you know you are going to be at the airport soon, you could join the queue in advance.

Here is the link [last checked April 2023] to join the virtual queue. Maybe you are in about to check-in your bag and wish to join the queue in advance: https://app.walkup.tech/join_queue/pxVtoDKJ7hE_VrP4jl74ZS1ieLK2fIiANpHlP2hYqCE_restaurant

Bear in mind that you should turn up within 10 minutes of being called, especially as a courtesy to other passengers!

Happy Travels!
